Celebrate Christmas at the Newport Mansions where you can enjoy a tour of three spectacular mansions: The Breakers, The Elms and The Marble House. Newport’s opulent Gilded Age homes are decked out with dozens of stunning Christmas trees, hundreds of fresh flowers and evergreens, candlelit windows and a floor-to-ceiling- poinsettia tree. Drive by the glitzed out homes in the evening to experience spectacular light displays while listening to live, festive music. Enjoy a variety of refreshments like classic eggnog, hot cider and delicious cookies. Each Sunday, kids meet Santa at the mansions to share their Christmas list.

Town businesses go all out with their beautiful window displays, and only clear bulbs are used to illuminate the scenic harbor and wharves. These lights are meant to mimic candlelight in the hopes of recapturing the candlelit holidays of yesteryears.

Wander The Classic Coast to the Newport Marriott to view the Giant Gingerbread Lighthouse. The 16-foot-tall gingerbread lighthouse is comprised of 1,600 bricks totaling 350 pounds, and topped with 2,400 pieces of candy and 20 gallons of royal icing. The Marriott also asks visitors to bring non-perishable foods to fill its sleigh to benefit local food pantries.

With the help of more than 1,500 volunteers the non-profit organization, Christmas in Newport, raises thousands of dollars for charity every year.
