Peeps are out for Christmas, but don’t worry there’s still plenty of Christmas treats
Hershey’s announced their 2020 Holiday Candy lineup and there are some that are
sure to make your season merry and bright!
In 2018, Hershey’s introduced Hot Cocoa Kisses, a rich marshmallow-flavored
crème center candy surrounded in a chocolate shell. The flavor was an instant hit
and will return again for its third straight season, but now Hershey’s is adding their
10th flavor to the mix: Sugar Cookie Hershey Kisses. A sugar cookie flavored white
cream with real cookie pieces for a crunchy and creamy treat. This following the
announcement over the summer that M&M’s will bring a sugar cookie flavor to the
market in 2020.
Does a White Elephant Gift exchange leave you a bit wanting? Do you sometimes get
stuck with a gift that’s a dud? White Elephant Shaped Reese’s are sure to
make it into your next gift exchange. A white crème outside filled with delicious
peanut butter filling. Each elephant is about $5, under most party limits, so it’s the
gift everyone will want…Unless you don’t like white chocolate.
No worries, because Reese’s has their traditional milk chocolate peanut butter
candy in the shape of a nutcracker, but this one features a harder candy shell. The
Mystery Shapes return this season, but many are hoping the shapes will be
distinguishable this year in comparison to the loose interpretation of what was
supposed to be an ornament, stocking and bells last year.
Is that Jack Frost nipping at your nose? No, just the cool, minty fresh breath of
someone who’s chewing on Candy Cane Ice Breakers, available in an adorable
snowman bottle. Just in time to meet your special someone under the mistletoe!
Do you want to build a snowman? How about a Santa Claus? New this
year are Build-A-Santa and Build-A-Snowman candy bars available
in chocolate and cookies n’ cream flavors. These chocolates are meant
to be played with, as you break and rebuild your favorite holiday figures.
Kit Kat introduced Duos Mint and Dark Chocolate last year, and now they’re
adding another dynamic duo: Kit Kat Duo Mocha and Chocolate! When you’ve got
a bar with mocha crème flecks and coffee bits on top…it’s an automatic win! Plus,
they’re a nice afternoon pick-me-up for your Christmas shopping. The mint and dark
chocolate version were so popular, the candy company is adding a new snack size
version, the perfect after dinner mint. Good news! The duos will be a permanent
addition in the U.S. market.
With all this said, Christmas this year should be a flavorful event of Peace on Earth and Good Treats to All!. We here at Kringle Lane hope you have yourself a Merry "and Sweet" little Christmas!
